About Tò He

Tò He is a traditional art of Vietnam. The artists use a mixture of rice flour that has a similar texture to clay to create little cartoon characters, flowers, or any objects that the artists can imagine of. Those little models are called Tò He.
Tò He is a part of Vietnamese childhood. It was easy to be found at any park or festival.
Nowadays, Tò He are rarely to be seen due to the decrease of interest in traditional games among children.
The artists that I portrait in this project is a passionate young artist. He helps bringing Tò He closer to young generation by innovating it and introducing it through TV shows and competitions. You can watch one of his performance here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24AaIznQ_X8
